²⁴ They have not said to themselves,
‘Let’s fear the Lord our God,^(A)
who gives the rain,^(B) both early and late,^(C) in its season,^(D)
who guarantees to us the fixed weeks of the harvest.’

³ Let us strive to know the Lord.^(A)
His appearance is as sure as the dawn.^(B)
He will come to us like the rain,^(C)
like the spring showers that water the land.
