I saw him come beside the ram, and he was enraged at him; and he struck the ram and shattered his two horns, and the ram had no strength to withstand him. So he hurled him to the ground and trampled on him, and there was none to rescue the ram from his [a]power. Then the male goat magnified himself exceedingly. But as soon as (A)he was mighty, the (B)large horn was broken; and in its place there came up four conspicuous horns toward the (C)four winds of heaven.

The Little Horn

Out of one of them came forth a rather (D)small horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the [b](E)Beautiful Land.

I saw it attack the ram furiously, striking the ram and shattering its two horns. The ram was powerless to stand against it; the goat knocked it to the ground and trampled on it,(A) and none could rescue the ram from its power.(B) The goat became very great, but at the height of its power the large horn was broken off,(C) and in its place four prominent horns grew up toward the four winds of heaven.(D)

Out of one of them came another horn, which started small(E) but grew in power to the south and to the east and toward the Beautiful Land.(F)
