4 I saw the ram charging westwards and northwards and southwards. All beasts were powerless to withstand it, and no one could rescue from its power; it did as it pleased and became strong.
5 As I was watching, a male goat appeared from the west, coming across the face of the whole earth without touching the ground. The goat had a horn[a] between its eyes. 6 It came towards the ram with the two horns that I had seen standing beside the river,[b] and it ran at it with savage force.

4 I watched the ram as it charged toward the west and the north and the south. No animal could stand against it, and none could rescue from its power.(A) It did as it pleased(B) and became great.
5 As I was thinking about this, suddenly a goat with a prominent horn between its eyes came from the west, crossing the whole earth without touching the ground. 6 It came toward the two-horned ram I had seen standing beside the canal and charged at it in great rage.
