Daniel 6:2-4
New English Translation
2 Over them would be three supervisors, one of whom was Daniel. These satraps were accountable[a] to them, so that the king’s interests might not incur damage. 3 Now this Daniel was distinguishing himself above the other supervisors and the satraps, for he had an extraordinary spirit. In fact, the king intended to appoint him over the entire kingdom. 4 Consequently the supervisors and satraps were trying to find[b] some pretext against Daniel in connection with administrative matters.[c] But they were unable to find any such damaging evidence,[d] because he was trustworthy and guilty of no negligence or corruption.[e]

New International Version
2 with three administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel.(A) The satraps were made accountable(B) to them so that the king might not suffer loss. 3 Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.(C) 4 At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges(D) against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.
