35 People on earth
    are not really important.
God does what he wants
    with the powers of heaven
    and the people on earth.
No one can stop his powerful hand
    or question what he does.

36 At that time God gave me my right mind again, and he gave back my great honor and power as king. My advisors and the royal people began to ask my advice again. I became the king again—even greater and more powerful than before. 37 Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, give praise, honor, and glory to the King of Heaven. Everything he does is right. He is always fair, and he is able to make proud people humble!

35 All the peoples of the earth
    are regarded as nothing.(A)
He does as he pleases(B)
    with the powers of heaven
    and the peoples of the earth.
No one can hold back(C) his hand(D)
    or say to him: “What have you done?”(E)

36 At the same time that my sanity was restored, my honor and splendor were returned to me for the glory of my kingdom.(F) My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored to my throne and became even greater than before. 37 Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt(G) and glorify(H) the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just.(I) And those who walk in pride(J) he is able to humble.(K)
