Daniel 11:3-5

3 Then a very strong and powerful king will come who will rule with much power. He will do anything he wants. 4 Just as he comes to power, his kingdom will be broken up and scattered in all directions. It will not be divided among his descendants. And it will not be ruled in the same way because that kingdom will be pulled up and given to other people.
5 “The southern king will become strong, but then one of his commanders will defeat him. The commander will begin to rule, and he will be very powerful.

New International Version
3 Then a mighty king will arise, who will rule with great power and do as he pleases.(A) 4 After he has arisen, his empire will be broken up and parceled out toward the four winds of heaven.(B) It will not go to his descendants, nor will it have the power he exercised, because his empire will be uprooted(C) and given to others.
5 “The king of the South will become strong, but one of his commanders will become even stronger than he and will rule his own kingdom with great power.
