3 I didn’t eat any rich food. No meat or wine touched my lips. I didn’t use any lotions at all until the three weeks were over.
4 I was standing on the bank of the great Tigris River. It was the 24th day of the first month. 5 I looked up and saw a man dressed in linen clothes. He had a belt around his waist. It was made out of fine gold from Uphaz.

3 I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips;(A) and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over.
4 On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was standing on the bank(B) of the great river, the Tigris,(C) 5 I looked up(D) and there before me was a man dressed in linen,(E) with a belt of fine gold(F) from Uphaz around his waist.
