5 because of the hope that is stored up for you in heaven. You had learned of this hope through the word of truth, the gospel,[a] 6 that has come down to you.
Just as it is bearing fruit and growing throughout the entire world, so it has been bearing fruit among you, ever since the day when you heard it and came to understand the grace of God in truth. 7 You learned this from Epaphras,[b] our beloved fellow servant and a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf.
