16 And whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a cherev in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a kever, shall be tamei seven days.

17 And for one who is tamei they shall take of the ashes of the burning of the purification [animal], and running mayim shall be put thereto in a vessel;

18 And an ish tahor shall take hyssop, and dip it in the mayim, and sprinkle it upon the ohel, and upon all the vessels, and upon the nefashot that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a kever;

16 “Anyone out in the open who touches someone who has been killed with a sword or someone who has died a natural death,(A) or anyone who touches a human bone(B) or a grave,(C) will be unclean for seven days.(D)

17 “For the unclean person, put some ashes(E) from the burned purification offering into a jar and pour fresh water(F) over them. 18 Then a man who is ceremonially clean is to take some hyssop,(G) dip it in the water and sprinkle(H) the tent and all the furnishings and the people who were there. He must also sprinkle anyone who has touched a human bone or a grave(I) or anyone who has been killed or anyone who has died a natural death.
