5 Then I said, “O Lord God, please don’t do it. If you turn against them, what hope is there? For Israel is so small!”
6 Then the Lord turned from this plan too, and said, “I won’t do that either.”
7 Then he showed me this: The Lord was standing beside a wall built with a plumb line, checking it with a plumb line to see if it was straight.

6 So the Lord relented.(B)
“This will not happen either,” the Sovereign Lord said.(C)
7 This is what he showed me: The Lord was standing by a wall that had been built true to plumb,[a] with a plumb line[b] in his hand.
