Amos 7:16-17
New Life Version

16 So now hear the Word of the Lord. You are saying, ‘Do not speak against Israel or preach against the people of Isaac.’ 17 So this is what the Lord says: ‘Your wife will sell the use of her body in the city. Your sons and daughters will be killed by the sword. Your land will be divided and given to others. You yourself will die in an unclean land. And Israel will be driven away from this land to a strange country.’”

New International Version

16 Now then, hear(A) the word of the Lord. You say,

“‘Do not prophesy against(B) Israel,
    and stop preaching against the descendants of Isaac.’

17 “Therefore this is what the Lord says:

“‘Your wife will become a prostitute(C) in the city,
    and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword.
Your land will be measured and divided up,
    and you yourself will die in a pagan[a] country.
And Israel will surely go into exile,(D)
    away from their native land.(E)’”
