8 The one who made the Pleiades and Orion,(A)
who turns darkness[a] into dawn(B)
and darkens day into night,(C)
who summons the water of the sea(D)
and pours it out over the surface of the earth(E)—
the Lord is his name.(F)
9 He brings destruction[b] on the strong,[c](G)
and it falls on the fortress.(H)
