⁵     but do not seek ^(A)Bethel,
and do not enter into ^(B)Gilgal
    or cross over to ^(C)Beersheba;
for ^(D)Gilgal shall surely go into exile,
    and ^(E)Bethel shall come to nothing.”

¹⁵ Though you play the whore, O ^(A)Israel,
    let not ^(B)Judah become guilty.
^(C)Enter not into ^(D)Gilgal,
    nor go up to ^(E)Beth-aven,
    and swear not, “As the Lord lives.”

¹⁵ Every evil of theirs is in ^(A)Gilgal;
    there I began to hate them.
Because of the wickedness of their deeds
    I will drive them out of my house.
I will love them no more;
    all ^(B)their princes are ^(C)rebels.

^11 (A)If there is iniquity in Gilead,
    they shall surely come to nothing:
^(B)in Gilgal they sacrifice bulls;
    ^(C)their altars also are like stone heaps
    ^(D)on the furrows of the field.
