4 (A)So I will send a fire upon the house of (B)Hazael,
and it shall devour the strongholds of (C)Ben-hadad.
5 I will (D)break the gate-bar of (E)Damascus,
and cut off the inhabitants from the Valley of (F)Aven,[a]
and him who holds the scepter from (G)Beth-eden;
and the people of (H)Syria shall go into exile to (I)Kir,”
says the Lord.
6 Thus says the Lord:
(J)“For three transgressions of (K)Gaza,
and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,
because (L)they carried into exile a whole people
to deliver them up to Edom.
