⁹ But when some became hardened and would not believe, slandering the Way in front of the crowd, he withdrew from them and met separately with the disciples, conducting discussions every day in the lecture hall of Tyrannus.^(A)

²³ During that time there was a major^[a] disturbance about the Way.^(A)

⁴ I persecuted this Way^(A) to the death, binding and putting both men and women in jail,^(B)

¹⁴ But I confess this to you: I worship my fathers’ God according to the Way,^(A) which they call a sect, believing all the things that are written in the Law and in the Prophets.^(B)

²² Since Felix was accurately informed about the Way,^(A) he adjourned the hearing, saying, “When Lysias the commander comes down, I will decide your case.”
