24 but their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him. 25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket. 26 And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.

New International Version
24 but Saul learned of their plan.(A) Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him. 25 But his followers took him by night and lowered him in a basket through an opening in the wall.(B)
26 When he came to Jerusalem,(C) he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple.
