14 (A)So Joseph sent a message to his father Jacob, telling him and the whole family, seventy-five people in all, to come to Egypt. 15 (B)Then Jacob went to Egypt, where he and his sons died. 16 (C)Their bodies were taken to Shechem, where they were buried in the grave which Abraham had bought from the clan of Hamor for a sum of money.

14 After this, Joseph sent for his father Jacob and his whole family,(A) seventy-five in all.(B) 15 Then Jacob went down to Egypt, where he and our ancestors died.(C) 16 Their bodies were brought back to Shechem and placed in the tomb that Abraham had bought from the sons of Hamor at Shechem for a certain sum of money.(D)
