⁵ And this word pleased the whole ^[a]congregation, and they chose ^(A)Stephen, a man ^(B)full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and ^(C)Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a ^[b](D)proselyte from ^(E)Antioch.

The Church in Antioch

^19 (A)So then those who were scattered because of the ^[a]persecution that occurred in connection with Stephen made their way ^[b]to ^(B)Phoenicia and ^(C)Cyprus and ^(D)Antioch, speaking the word to no one except to Jews alone. ²⁰ But there were some of them, men of ^(E)Cyprus and ^(F)Cyrene, who came to ^(G)Antioch and began speaking to the ^[c](H)Greeks also, ^(I)proclaiming the good news of the Lord Jesus.

²⁷ Now in those days, ^(A)some prophets came down from Jerusalem to ^(B)Antioch.

Barnabas and Saul Sent from Antioch by the Holy Spirit

13 Now there were at ^(A)Antioch, in the ^(B)church that was there, ^(C)prophets and ^(D)teachers: ^(E)Barnabas, and Simeon who was called Niger, and Lucius of ^(F)Cyrene, and Manaen who had been brought up with ^(G)Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

²² And when he had landed at ^(A)Caesarea, he went up and greeted the church, and went down to ^(B)Antioch.
