Selection of the Seven

6 Now in those days, while the ^(A)disciples were ^(B)multiplying in number, there was grumbling from the ^[a](C)Hellenists against the ^(D)Hebrews, because their ^(E)widows were being overlooked in ^(F)the daily serving of food.

³⁹ So Peter arose and went with them. When he arrived, they brought him into the ^(A)upper room; and all the ^(B)widows stood beside him, crying and showing all the ^[a]tunics and garments that Dorcas used to make while she was with them.

⁴¹ And he gave her his hand and raised her up. And calling ^(A)the ^[a]saints and ^(B)widows, he presented her alive.

³ Honor widows who are ^(A)widows indeed,

¹⁶ If any believing woman ^(A)has widows, she must ^(B)assist them and the church must not be burdened, so that it may assist those who are ^(C)widows indeed.
