We crossed over the sea off Cilicia and Pamphylia and came to Myra in Lycia. There the officer found a ship from Alexandria that was going to sail for Italy, so he put us aboard.

We sailed slowly for several days and with great difficulty finally arrived off the town of Cnidus. The wind would not let us go any farther in that direction, so we sailed down the sheltered side of the island of Crete, passing by Cape Salmone.

When we had sailed across the open sea off the coast of Cilicia(A) and Pamphylia,(B) we landed at Myra in Lycia. There the centurion found an Alexandrian ship(C) sailing for Italy(D) and put us on board. We made slow headway for many days and had difficulty arriving off Cnidus. When the wind did not allow us to hold our course,(E) we sailed to the lee of Crete,(F) opposite Salmone.
