Festus said that Paul should be kept at Caesarea and that he himself intended to go there shortly. He also said, “Let the men in authority go down with me. If there is anything wrong in the man, let them accuse him.”

Having stayed among them more than ten days, he went down to Caesarea. And the next day he sat on the judgment seat and ordered that Paul be brought in.

Festus answered, “Paul is being held(A) at Caesarea,(B) and I myself am going there soon. Let some of your leaders come with me, and if the man has done anything wrong, they can press charges against him there.”

After spending eight or ten days with them, Festus went down to Caesarea. The next day he convened the court(C) and ordered that Paul be brought before him.(D)
