25 But as he was discussing (A)righteousness, (B)self-control, and (C)the judgment to come, Felix became frightened and answered, “Go away for the present, and when I find time I will call for you.” 26 At the same time, he was also hoping that (D)money would be given him by Paul; therefore he also used to summon for him quite often and converse with him. 27 But after two years had passed, Felix [a]was succeeded by Porcius (E)Festus, and (F)wishing to do the Jews a favor, Felix left Paul (G)imprisoned.

New International Version
25 As Paul talked about righteousness, self-control(A) and the judgment(B) to come, Felix was afraid(C) and said, “That’s enough for now! You may leave. When I find it convenient, I will send for you.” 26 At the same time he was hoping that Paul would offer him a bribe, so he sent for him frequently and talked with him.
27 When two years had passed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus,(D) but because Felix wanted to grant a favor to the Jews,(E) he left Paul in prison.(F)
