34 But other[a] ones in the crowd were calling-out another thing. And he not being able to know the certainty of it because of the uproar— he ordered that he be brought into the barracks. 35 But when he[b] came-to-be on the stairs, it happened that he was carried by the soldiers because of the violence of the crowd— 36 for the multitude of the people were following, crying-out, “Take him away”.

34 Some in the crowd shouted one thing and some another,(A) and since the commander could not get at the truth because of the uproar, he ordered that Paul be taken into the barracks.(B) 35 When Paul reached the steps,(C) the violence of the mob was so great he had to be carried by the soldiers. 36 The crowd that followed kept shouting, “Get rid of him!”(D)
