29 (For before this they had seen Trophimus, an Ephesian, with him in the city, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.)
30 So that all the city was moved, and the people ran together; and they took Paul and drew him out of the temple, and immediately the doors were shut.
31 And as they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the tribunal of the company that all Jerusalem was in an uproar

New International Version
29 (They had previously seen Trophimus(A) the Ephesian(B) in the city with Paul and assumed that Paul had brought him into the temple.)
30 The whole city was aroused, and the people came running from all directions. Seizing Paul,(C) they dragged him(D) from the temple, and immediately the gates were shut. 31 While they were trying to kill him, news reached the commander of the Roman troops that the whole city of Jerusalem was in an uproar.
