33 I have desired no one’s silver or gold or clothing! 34 You yourselves know that these hands served to meet[a] my needs and the needs of[b] those who were with me. 35 I have shown you with respect to all things that by[c] working hard in this way it is necessary to help those who are in need, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus that he himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”[d]

33 I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing.(A) 34 You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions.(B) 35 In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
