2 And when he had gone through those parts, and had exhorted them with [a]many words, he came into Greece.
3 [b]And having tarried there three months, because the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.
4 And there accompanied him into Asia, Sopater of Berea, and of them of Thessalonica, Aristarchus, and Secundus, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy, and of them of Asia, Tychicus, and Trophimus.

2 He traveled through that area, speaking many words of encouragement to the people, and finally arrived in Greece, 3 where he stayed three months. Because some Jews had plotted against him(A) just as he was about to sail for Syria,(B) he decided to go back through Macedonia.(C) 4 He was accompanied by Sopater son of Pyrrhus from Berea, Aristarchus(D) and Secundus from Thessalonica,(E) Gaius(F) from Derbe, Timothy(G) also, and Tychicus(H) and Trophimus(I) from the province of Asia.(J)
