3 and, because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them, and they worked together—by trade they were tentmakers. 4 Every sabbath he would argue in the synagogue and would try to convince Jews and Greeks.
5 When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with proclaiming the word,[a] testifying to the Jews that the Messiah[b] was Jesus.

3 and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them.(A) 4 Every Sabbath(B) he reasoned in the synagogue,(C) trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.
5 When Silas(D) and Timothy(E) came from Macedonia,(F) Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah.(G)
