3 So, because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them (A)and worked; for by occupation they were tentmakers. 4 (B)And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.
5 (C)When Silas and Timothy had come from Macedonia, Paul was (D)compelled [a]by the Spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ.

New International Version
3 and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them.(A) 4 Every Sabbath(B) he reasoned in the synagogue,(C) trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.
5 When Silas(D) and Timothy(E) came from Macedonia,(F) Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah.(G)
