25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spoke and taught diligently the things of the Lord, teaching only in the baptism of John.
26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue, but when Aquila and Priscilla had heard him, they took him unto them and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the exhorted brethren wrote the disciples to receive him, who, when he was come, was very helpful through grace unto those who had believed;

New International Version
25 He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervor[a](A) and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John.(B) 26 He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila(C) heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately.
27 When Apollos wanted to go to Achaia,(D) the brothers and sisters(E) encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. When he arrived, he was a great help to those who by grace had believed.
