25 The same was instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spake fervently in the Spirit, and taught diligently the things of the Lord, and knew but the baptism of John only.
26 And he began to speak boldly in the Synagogue. Whom when (A)Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the [a]way of God more perfectly.
27 And when he was minded to go into Achaia, the brethren exhorting him, wrote to the disciples to receive him: and after he was come thither, he helped them much which had believed through [b]grace.

New International Version
25 He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervor[a](A) and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John.(B) 26 He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila(C) heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately.
27 When Apollos wanted to go to Achaia,(D) the brothers and sisters(E) encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. When he arrived, he was a great help to those who by grace had believed.
