4 And some of them were persuaded, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few. 5 But the Jews, being moved with jealousy, took unto them certain vile fellows of the rabble, and gathering a crowd, set the city on an uproar; and assaulting the house of Jason, they sought to bring them forth to the people. 6 And when they found them not, they dragged Jason and certain brethren before the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned [a]the world upside down are come hither also;

New International Version
4 Some of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas,(A) as did a large number of God-fearing Greeks and quite a few prominent women.
5 But other Jews were jealous; so they rounded up some bad characters from the marketplace, formed a mob and started a riot in the city.(B) They rushed to Jason’s(C) house in search of Paul and Silas in order to bring them out to the crowd.[a] 6 But when they did not find them, they dragged(D) Jason and some other believers(E) before the city officials, shouting: “These men who have caused trouble all over the world(F) have now come here,(G)
