11 Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, because they received the message with goodwill, searching the Scriptures each day to see whether these things were true. 12 Therefore many of them believed, as well as quite a few prominent Greek women and men.

13 But when the Jewish people of Thessalonica learned that the word of God had been proclaimed by Paul in Berea, they came there too, agitating and inciting the people.

11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica,(A) for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures(B) every day to see if what Paul said was true.(C) 12 As a result, many of them believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men.(D)

13 But when the Jews in Thessalonica learned that Paul was preaching the word of God at Berea,(E) some of them went there too, agitating the crowds and stirring them up.
