39 Then they came and pleaded with them and brought them out, and (A)asked them to depart from the city. 40 So they went out of the prison (B)and entered the house of Lydia; and when they had seen the brethren, they encouraged them and departed.

39 They came to appease them and escorted them from the prison, requesting them to leave the city.(A) 40 After Paul and Silas came out of the prison, they went to Lydia’s house,(B) where they met with the brothers and sisters(C) and encouraged them. Then they left.
