Acts 16:39-40
International Standard Version
39 So the magistrates[a] came, apologized to them, and escorted them out. Then they asked them to leave the city. 40 Leaving the jail, Paul and Silas[b] went to Lydia’s house. They saw the brothers, encouraged them, and then left.

39 They came to appease them and escorted them from the prison, requesting them to leave the city.(A) 40 After Paul and Silas came out of the prison, they went to Lydia’s house,(B) where they met with the brothers and sisters(C) and encouraged them. Then they left.
