International Children’s Bible

39 So they came and told Paul and Silas they were sorry. They took Paul and Silas out of jail and asked them to leave the city. 40 So when they came out of the jail, they went to Lydia’s house. There they saw some of the believers and encouraged them. Then they left.

39 They came to appease them and escorted them from the prison, requesting them to leave the city.(A) 40 After Paul and Silas came out of the prison, they went to Lydia’s house,(B) where they met with the brothers and sisters(C) and encouraged them. Then they left.
