²¹For from ancient generations Moses has had his preachers in every town, for he is read [aloud] every Sabbath in the synagogues.

²²Then the apostles and the elders, together with the whole church, resolved to select men from among their number and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, [both] leading men among the brethren, and sent them.

²³With [them they sent] the following letter: The brethren, both the apostles and the elders, to the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, greetings:

The Council’s Letter to Gentile Believers

²²Then the apostles and elders,^(B) with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch^(C) with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas,^(D) men who were leaders among the believers. ²³With them they sent the following letter:

The apostles and elders, your brothers,

To the Gentile believers in Antioch,^(E) Syria^(F) and Cilicia:^(G)

Greetings.^(H)
