⁴⁶ Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first.^(A) Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.^(B)

³ So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly^(A) for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.^(B)

²⁶ He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila^(A) heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately.

⁸ Paul entered the synagogue^(A) and spoke boldly there for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God.^(B)

²⁶ The king is familiar with these things,^(A) and I can speak freely to him. I am convinced that none of this has escaped his notice, because it was not done in a corner.
