Acts 13:45-47

45 But when[a] the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, and began contradicting what was being said by Paul by[b] reviling him.[c] 46 Both Paul and Barnabas spoke boldly and[d] said, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken first to you, since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life! Behold, we are turning to the Gentiles! 47 For so the Lord has commanded us:
‘I have appointed you to be[e] a light for the Gentiles,
that you would bring[f] salvation to the end of the earth.’[g]

45 When the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy. They began to contradict what Paul was saying(A) and heaped abuse(B) on him.
46 Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first.(C) Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.(D) 47 For this is what the Lord has commanded us:
