³⁴And as for the fact that he raised him from the dead, ^(A)^(B)no more to return to corruption, he has spoken in this way,

“‘I will give you ^(C)the holy and sure blessings of David.’

³⁴God raised him from the dead so that he will never be subject to decay. As God has said,

“‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’^[a]^(A)

¹⁸and the living one. ^(A)I died, and behold I am alive for evermore, and ^(B)I have the keys of Death and Hades.

¹⁸I am the Living One; I was dead,^(A) and now look, I am alive for ever and ever!^(B) And I hold the keys of death and Hades.^(C)
