21 So after that, they desired a (A)King, and God gave unto them (B)Saul, the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of [a]forty years.
22 And after he had taken him away, he raised up (C)David to be their King, of whom he witnessed, saying, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which will do all things that I will.
23 [b]Of this man’s seed hath God (D)according to his promise raised up to Israel, the Savior Jesus:

New International Version
21 Then the people asked for a king,(A) and he gave them Saul(B) son of Kish, of the tribe of Benjamin,(C) who ruled forty years. 22 After removing Saul,(D) he made David their king.(E) God testified concerning him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart;(F) he will do everything I want him to do.’(G)
23 “From this man’s descendants(H) God has brought to Israel the Savior(I) Jesus,(J) as he promised.(K)
