Preparing for the Mission Field

13 Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen, a close friend of Herod the tetrarch,^(A) and Saul.

³² Both Judas and Silas, who were also prophets themselves, encouraged the brothers and sisters and strengthened them with a long message.^(A)

²⁸ And God has appointed these in the church:^(A) first apostles, second prophets, third teachers,^(B) next miracles,^(C) then gifts of healing,^(D) helping, leading, various kinds of tongues.^[a]

¹¹ And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,
