Peter Rescued

⁶ On the night before Herod was to bring him out for execution, Peter, bound with two chains, was sleeping between two soldiers, while the sentries in front of the door guarded the prison.

²³ except that in town after town the Holy Spirit testifies to me that chains and afflictions are waiting for me.^(A)

¹¹ He came to us, took Paul’s belt, tied his own feet and hands, and said, “This is what the Holy Spirit says: ‘In this way the Jews in Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into Gentile hands.’”^(A)

²⁰ For this I am an ambassador^(A) in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough in Him to speak as I should.

¹⁶ May the Lord grant mercy^(A) to the household of Onesiphorus,^(B) because he often refreshed me^(C) and was not ashamed of my chains.^(D)
