Amplified Bible
28 One of them named Agabus stood up and prophesied through the [Holy] Spirit that a severe famine would come on the [a]entire world. And this did happen during the reign of [b]Claudius. 29 So the disciples decided to send a contribution, each according to his individual ability, to the believers who lived in Judea. 30 And this they did, sending the contribution to the elders by Barnabas and Saul.

28 One of them, named Agabus,(A) stood up and through the Spirit predicted that a severe famine would spread over the entire Roman world.(B) (This happened during the reign of Claudius.)(C) 29 The disciples,(D) as each one was able, decided to provide help(E) for the brothers and sisters(F) living in Judea. 30 This they did, sending their gift to the elders(G) by Barnabas(H) and Saul.(I)

29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:
30 Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
