2 devout and fearing God together with all his household, doing many charitable deeds for the people and praying to God continually.[a] 3 About the ninth hour of the day, he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming to him and saying to him, “Cornelius.” 4 And he stared at him and became terrified and[b] said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your charitable deeds have gone up for a memorial offering before God.

New International Version
2 He and all his family were devout and God-fearing;(A) he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. 3 One day at about three in the afternoon(B) he had a vision.(C) He distinctly saw an angel(D) of God, who came to him and said, “Cornelius!”
4 Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked.
The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering(E) before God.(F)
