Paul’s Anguish Over Israel

9 I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying,^(A) my conscience confirms^(B) it through the Holy Spirit—

¹² While Gallio was proconsul^(A) of Achaia,^(B) the Jews of Corinth made a united attack on Paul and brought him to the place of judgment.

¹⁵ But I have not used any of these rights.^(A) And I am not writing this in the hope that you will do such things for me, for I would rather die than allow anyone to deprive me of this boast.^(B)
