¹⁶ For David had said to the Amalekite, “Your blood is on your own head^(A) because your own mouth testified against you by saying, ‘I killed the Lord’s anointed.’”

¹³ and lends at interest or for profit, will he live? He will not live! Since he has committed all these detestable acts, he will certainly die. His blood will be on him.^(A)

⁴ Then, if anyone hears the sound of the trumpet but ignores the warning,^(A) and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood will be on his own head.

²⁵ All the people answered, “His blood be on us^(A) and on our children!”
