^19 (A)because your heart was soft and ^(B)you humbled yourself before Yahweh when you heard what I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants that they should become ^(C)an object of horror, and a ^(D)curse, and you have ^(E)torn your clothes and wept before Me, I truly have heard you,” declares Yahweh.

⁷ When Yahweh saw that they humbled themselves, the word of Yahweh came to Shemaiah, saying, “^(A)They have humbled themselves so I will not bring them to ruin, but I will grant them some measure of escape, and ^(B)My wrath shall not be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

²⁶ However, ^(A)Hezekiah ^[a]humbled the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of Yahweh did not come on them in the days of Hezekiah.
