²⁸ Because your rage against Me and your tumult
Have come up to My ears,
Therefore ^(A)I will put My hook in your nose
And My bridle in your lips,
And I will turn you back
^(B)By the way which you came.

² Can you ^(A)put a reed through his nose,
Or pierce his jaw with a ^[a]hook?

⁷ Can you fill his skin with harpoons,
Or his head with fishing spears?

²⁶ Though the sword reaches him, it cannot avail;
Nor does spear, dart, or javelin.

²⁹ Because your rage against Me and your tumult
