Their minds are sick, and their faith isn't real. But they won't get very far with their foolishness. Soon everyone will know the truth about them, just as Jannes and Jambres were found out.

  1. 3.8 Jannes and Jambres: These names are not found in the Old Testament. But many believe these were the names of the two Egyptian magicians who opposed Moses when he wanted to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt (see Exodus 7.11,22).

They are men of depraved minds,(D) who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men,(E) their folly will be clear to everyone.
