12 in order that all those may be condemned who refused to believe the truth but instead delighted in unrighteousness.

13 But we are always obligated to thank God for you, brothers, loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation by the sanctifying work of the Spirit and faith in the truth. 14 For this reason he also called you through our gospel so that you would obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.(A)
Stand Firm
13 But we ought always to thank God for you,(B) brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits[a](C) to be saved(D) through the sanctifying work of the Spirit(E) and through belief in the truth. 14 He called you(F) to this through our gospel,(G) that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
